Ven. Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen founded Thubten Dhargye Ling. Since he has passed, teachings have been offered by teachers from the Gaden Shartse monastery. Classes are currently being taught by Ven. Geshe Konchok Sonam.

Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 10:30 am till noon, and on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 till 9:00 pm.

Temple Etiquette

  • please remove shoes before entering the temple
  • please turn off all cell phones
  • please do not place prayer books or Dharma images on the floor
  • please do not step over Dharma books, images
  • please do not point the bottom of your feet towards the teacher or altar
  • please wear unrevealing attire

Teachings are free and open to the public. We request that students and visitors arrive on time and observe temple etiquette.

At times other events, rituals, and talks take place at the center and those will be listed in the calendar.

Dharma talks by Geshe Sonam or other teachers at Thubten Dhargye Ling are usually commentary on Lam Rim, Mind Training, and other expositions of Buddha's teachings as presented in the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism.

Students from around the world can now listen to and view Geshe Sonam's teaching on the internet. We offer a live broadcast of the teachings on Sunday mornings. Connecting to the broadcast can be done on the Live Teachings Online page.
